TECHNIQUE
Slip, Roll, Counter: Defense as Offense

Fighters who only think about defense as avoidance leave openings on the table every time they slip a punch. The best counters I've ever taught started as pure defensive reflexes.
In Defense & Counters, every slip is paired with a specific punch it should set up. A slip outside the jab loads a right hand. A roll under a hook loads a body shot. Nothing is defense-only.
It takes longer to teach this way than just teaching fighters to avoid getting hit — but it's the difference between surviving a round and winning one.
